For nearly 50 years, Hotel Prategiano has been providing active holidays and horse rides in one of the most beautiful and natural regions of Maremma Tuscany. For our experts we offer all-day rides to six different locations, for beginners there are one-hour trail walks or lessons, and for those in between we have beautiful half-day rides. The area surrounding Hotel Prategiano - with its ups, downs, curves, and views - will thrill road cyclists and mountain bikers alike. The Alta Maremma area is famous for its optimal biking terrain and extra sightseeing opportunities. You will find small medieval villages, endless miles of quiet asphalt roads, wide dirt roads and 500 km of well-signed single trails. Assisted by our detailed maps and GPS tracks, our friendly staff will help you choose the right route and point out must-see attractions and special places along the way.
Away from busy towns and surrounded by a beautiful wooded and hilly terrain, Hotel Prategiano sits in the center of a maze of well-signed trails through the special, quiet and beautiful landscape of Maremma Tuscany. This area is especially attractive to hikers because it offers various landscapes within relatively close proximity. These differing terrains include the sand beaches and pine woods of the coast, the wet areas of the flat region, the evergreen plants of the Mediterran Macchia, the wooded hills, and the typical grape and olive orchards for which Tuscany is famous.

Most of the bathrooms in the main building are tiled with the famous Vietri tiles from the Amalfi region, which exude a special atmosphere even nowadays. The bathrooms in the building at the swimming pool have been recently renovated in a modern style.
